The EDL Gallery aims to bring visitors on an experiential journey of discovery and re-imagination. It’s much like a dreamscape where anything is possible, and scenarios can shift between different alternate realities. One could venture into the forest and explore the hidden treasures within the ‘tree trunks’.
At the heart of our design ethos lies a commitment to sustainability. Upcycling of off-cuts is something that has been a key element in the design and detailing of many components of the Gallery. At the entrance foyer of the Gallery floor, one will find uniquely designed furniture and commissioned art mural walls that capitalize on the deployment of different production off-cuts from their in-house facility.
Upon entering the Gallery, one will be greeted by an iconic giant lamp in the Aptico Bar where the ‘lamp stand’ is dressed in random compact off-cut profiles.
A walk inside reveals a forest that features a canopy ceiling that is using discontinued laminates as well as laminate off-cuts from the construction of this gallery.
